Since her first CD release, "Secret," in 2004, Stephanie has had the privilege of serving God through her music, vocal coaching and leading worship.
In the summer of 2006, she ran a summer camp called "What a Girl Wants" with the themes of purity and modesty for teen girls and expanded it to multiple camps for both pre-teen and teenage girls in 2007 and 2008. During that time, Stephanie and her husband Dean went through a heart-breaking miscarriage. This was a very difficult time for Stephanie but she came to realize that God had placed her in the lives of those many teenage girls for that season and that He'd use her for His glory, even in the midst of her pain.
She began to write again,... songs of trust and God's sovereignty... and in God's timing Stephanie gave birth to her first son, Isaiah, in September 2008. Their second son, Noah, was born in April 2010 but not without trial. Due to medical complications from her first delivery, Stephanie was placed on bedrest and later underwent surgery five months after Noah was born. Recovering physically, as well as being a mom and wife took precedent for the next few years... but she began leading worship again and leading a MOM's group at their church.
In 2014, Stephanie felt led to start writing again. She began to write and co-write with some amazing people from their church. She started attending women's Bible study and really digging into God's Word. She would write from the Psalms and other scripture passages, many times crying out to God as the psalmists did through relentless tears.
"I am daily learning to trust God and rely on His strength," says Stephanie. It's a lifelong journey of placing my life in His hands, persevering in faith and surrendering my will to His. Life is hard... but there is hope. Though we experience brokenness now, there is eternal reward for those who endure and finish the race."
(2 Timothy 4:7-8, Hebrews 12:1-2)
In early 2018, Stephanie and her husband Dean decided it was time to record some of the songs that had been pouring out of her. She teamed up once again with Christian Stonehouse who had produced her first album. "He has always been so encouraging and fun to collaborate with. He knows how to bring a song to life and how to work with an artist to create something truly beautiful." By God's grace and in learning to trust His timing,
Stephanie released her first single, "We Give You Glory" in Spring 2018. It has since been nominated for "Pop Song of the Year" by the Gospel Music Association of Canada for the 40th Annual Covenant Awards.
"This song speaks of the incredible power of our God," says Stephanie. "He is the Supreme Creator and Author of all Life. He deserves nothing less than for all of humanity and all of creation to bow in worship and give Him glory."
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20 NLT
Her second single "Lifeline" was released in October 2018. This song was birthed from their church (Stephanie Reddicopp, Adam Smith, Becca Carsience) and has been sung by thousands of people in various worship settings. Bridging powerful worship lyrics with pop infused sounds, Stephanie Reddicopp delivers a compelling story with "Lifeline". "You find us in the storm when chaos reigns. You lead us to the Rock where peace invades. And tremors though they roar, Your whisper calms our souls. Our lifeline You remain." Stephanie's studio version, produced by Christian Stonehouse, will make you want to turn this one up and sink into the beat.
"The only reason I want to write, sing and record is to point others to Christ. My prayer is that my music and lyrics will help others to adore God, cry out to God, know the truth found in His Word and be a source of healing and encouragement in peoples lives. May we all persevere to the end by His strength and proclaim that true hope is found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Stephanie's next single, "I'll Rest," echos the struggle we all face on earth. As we await our final rest in Him, we live with the tension of a frustrated and sinful world. Pain, brokenness, and suffering are the reality. And, yet, He holds us, He carries us and will not forsake us. We can rest in Him not because of anything we have done but because of His incredible mercy. Produced by Christian Stonehouse and featuring the amazing Nathan Bosch on keys, "I'll Rest" will move your soul with Stephanie's emotive vocals and vulnerable lyrics.
"I Praise You-Psalm 139"is Stephanie's latest release featuring The African Children's Choir!
